Colorado's Telluride Ski Resort is continuing its ambitious reopening plan for the winter season in the wake of a ski patrol strike to close 2025.
Officials have expressed excitement in welcoming back tourists following a recent winter storm cycle and a stretch of ideal cold-weather windows that have made for tremendous skiing and snowboarding conditions.
Telluride recently opened the Sunshine Express (Lift 10) and Ute Park Express (Lift 11), providing access to more than a dozen additional beginner and intermediate trails. Prospect Bowl, alongside Prospect Express (Lift 12) and Gold Hill Express (Lift 14), is also open and accessible from both the east and west portals.
In addition to popular ski lifts, all of the resort's beloved culinary locations are now open for the season. Award-winning alpine fare from Alpino Vino, Bon Vivant and Allred’s, as well as popular stops like Tomboy Tavern, are ready to welcome hungry visitors.
"We couldn’t be more excited to be back on our skis and snowboards," resort leadership said in a statement. "The snow, the weather, and the energy on the mountain have all aligned, and it feels incredible to welcome everyone back with so much terrain coming online so quickly."
