Struggling in a long-distance relationship? Get you someone that greets you at the airport with a prank sign.
An Australian couple has been turning travelers' heads in recent months with some humorous airport greeting signs that would embarrass most.
According to News.com.au, Robyn Thomas and her boyfriend Crin are located more than 1,000 miles apart in Brisbane and Melbourne, respectively. Routine weekend flights to see each other prompted the new tradition.
"We had watched American Pie the weekend before and I made him a greeting sign that said 'Welcome home from band camp!' and ever since then it has been a tradition," Thomas told News.com.au. "Strangers looked at us very funny—it’s most awkward for the person holding the sign."
Some of the tongue-in-cheek public greetings have included one-liners like "Even tho (sic) we’re cousins I still want to get married," "Welcome home from Thailand, I hope you enjoy your implants!" and "Hope you enjoyed school camp, Daddy missed you!"

The couple plan to embark on a trip around the world in June, visiting as many as 22 countries, including the U.S., Canada, South Africa and Egypt.
"I had a round-the-world trip planned before we had met to depart this year—and we were so crazy about each other, that a week into our relationship he decided to join me on a trip around the world," Thomas told News.com.au. "Next minute, flights were booked and his passport was ordered and we were going around the world. People think we are crazy but we figured there is no better way to get to know a person."
