When Walt
Disney World Resort’s new Bluey’s
Wild World at Conservation Station opened its doors for the first time on
May 26, guests only had the option of attending by joining a virtual queue,
with no standby queue option in sight.
When the area
debuted, only two admission times were made available via the My Disney
Experience app: 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. For the earlier entry time, only a theme
park reservation and valid admission were needed, and guests did not need to be
on-site at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park to join the virtual queue. However, to
reserve the 10 a.m. slot, guests were required to already be present in the
park.
However, the
virtual queue system for Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station is already
being abandoned in favor of a traditional standby queue, which will take effect
on June 2 — just one week out from the big opening — according to the official Disney Parks Blog.
This will mean
standing in what promises to be long lines for the Wildlife Express Train at
the station near Harambe Market in Africa, which is the way to access
Conservation Station. There, you’ll find attractions like Bluey’s Wild World, the
Animal Care at Conservation Station experience and Jumping Junction, populated with
animals from Bluey’s home country of Australia.
At Bluey’s Wild
World, you can meet Bluey and her sister Bingo and play their favorite games
together. The Animal Care area is where you can see animals receiving veterinary
care, watch the animal residents’ meals being prepared by the park’s nutrition
team, see some of the park’s smallest species at the Amphibian, Reptile and
Invertebrate Windows, or swing by the Science Center to see what Disney’s
Animals, Science and Environment scientists are currently investigating. Then,
at Jumping Junction, see real-life kangaroos and wallabies from Bluey’s native
continent in their new shared habitat.
Of course, Conservation
Station is also the ideal place to find Bluey merchandise, including toys,
apparel and various collectible items, and Bluey-inspired food and beverages
are available at the park’s Discovery Island eateries.
