Jurassic World Stars Spoof the Emotional Support Animal Debate
Entertainment Michael Schottey May 24, 2018

Are you ready to add prehistoric terror to your list of flight pet peeves?
That's the gag over at CollegeHumor where Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard star in a humorous short spoofing the airline service animal/emotional support animal debate with the help of Blue, Pratt's velociraptor friend from 2015's Jurassic World and the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
Of course, it's silly to think any passenger would ever want to actually bring a raptor on a plane. Oh, except when you remember that we've already seen emotional support peacocks, emotional support ducks and even emotional support monkeys.
(Editor's Note: Haven't you always wanted a monkey?)
For those not in on the gag, airlines have been dealing with the rules between emotional support animals and fully trained and licensed service animals for some time now and have been working to educate passengers. At the same time, airlines and animal advocacy groups have been sparring on safe and ethical treatment for those animals transported outside of the cabin.
Still, while we might all have different spots where we draw the line between what's an acceptable animal companion, we can probably all agree that a dinosaur is a step too far.
...Well, maybe not Chris Pratt.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters on June 22, 2018.
