It's a new week and that means travel expert Mark Murphy is all-new with a brand new edition of the TravelPulse Podcast.
In episode 29, Murphy breaks down the latest in the world of travel-including a dramatic rescue at a ski resort in Vancouver and overweight plane passengers-and talks to Royal Caribbean International's Vicki Freed.
"I don't think people realize how diverse these ships are. To be frank, Royal Caribbean really set the precedent with the "get out there" campaign and that's when I believe people's perception really started to change because they didn't view a cruise ship as just a place where you're going to eat, drink and sit by a pool. All of a sudden there are all of these things you can do."
"For somebody who's not sure about a cruise, it's a great way to kind of use them as training wheels. I can guarantee you that once someone does take a short cruise they're hooked.
Oftentimes what we'll find with millennials is they'll take a short cruise and then they'll take another short cruise and another because they don't want to spend too much time taking a vacation away from work but they like to take shorter and more frequent vacations.
"There's just so many different ways you can enjoy your Perfect Day at CocoCay. We are eventually going to have nighttime visits there and do entertainment on the island.
