Pixar Pier Opens at Disney California Adventure this Weekend

Travelers who visit the Disneyland Resort will be excited to learn that Pixar Pier is opening at Disney California Adventure Park Saturday.

The newly reimagined land features beloved Pixar stories and characters; the Incredicoaster; Pixar Pal-A-Round attractions; imaginative neighborhoods; Pixar-inspired food; the Lamplight Lounge; entertainment options and more.

Pixar Pier is located on this seaside waterfront at the Disneyland Resort, and the land will debut as part of Pixar Fest, which runs through September 3. One of the highlights of the celebration is the new "Together Forever—A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular" multimedia fireworks show at Disneyland.

In addition to the new night show, Pixar Pier will lead to four whimsical neighborhoods, including the Incredibles Park, Toy Story Boardwalk, the Pixar Promenade and Inside Out Headquarters, all based on hit Disney•Pixar movie franchises.

As for the guests desperate to find food and beverages will be encouraged to visit the new Lamplight Lounge, which serves a menu of California casual gastro-pub cuisine that is playfully presented, along with unique signature cocktails. The restaurant will also feature art, sketches, memorabilia and collectible toys left by Pixar employees.

The lands that previously made up Paradise Pier will now become a new land called Paradise Gardens Park, including Paradise Gardens, Silly Symphony Swings, Jumping Jellyfish, Goofy's Sky School, Golden Zephyr and The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure.

At Disney, 2018 is the Year of Pixar and the facilities will be celebrating two decades of Pixar stories and characters. Shanghai Disney Resort recently opened Toy Story Land, and Walt Disney World opens Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios on June 30.
