Incredicoaster Comes to Disney California Adventure in June

The Incredibles movie franchise is already popular, but officials from Disney California Adventure Park announced the new Incredicoaster ride based on the films will open to the public June 23.
As the featured attraction at Pixar Pier, guests who board the Incredicoaster will head on a super adventure with the Parr family to capture the elusive baby Jack-Jack. With recognizable characters, special effects, lighting, new music and distinctively colored vehicles, the new ride will thrill every member of the family.
The California attraction will be based on a story that features the people of Municiberg dedicating a new roller coaster to The Incredibles, but since baby Jack-Jack isn’t tall enough to go on the inaugural ride, he gets loose and begins creating havoc.
Passengers will witness Dash chasing Jack-Jack through the first tunnel before Elastigirl stretches to catch the baby. When the super child eludes the family, Mr. Incredible will punch through the side of the tube holding a cookie to lure Jack-Jack out of another dimension.
Violet also plays a role, as she shoots a purple force field up the tunnel, shielding guests from the raging fire produced by Jack-Jack. Finally, Edna Mode reveals the baby has returned to her safe and sound and riders return to the station for one last surprise.
When the new roller coaster finally opens this summer, it will become the fastest attraction at Disneyland and stretch across more than 6,000 feet of track, making it the longest coaster at the theme park.
The Disneyland ride was created with the help of composer Michael Giacchino, who scored the music for The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 films. In addition, Artist Teddy Newton worked with Walt Disney Imagineers to create a mural for the Incredicoaster load area.
