SeaWorld San
Antonio has just revealed ambitious plans for a new family-friendly zone, the
Rescue Jr. hub, which is set to debut in the Spring 2025. Designed to immerse
young guests in the world of marine rescue, this hands-on, interactive area
will serve as a playful introduction to the important work SeaWorld does in
rescuing and rehabilitating animals.
The park aims to
inspire the next generation of animal lovers, scientists and conservationists
by connecting them to real-world rescue efforts through engaging rides,
activities and educational experiences. Attractions will have kids zooming, climbing,
splashing, and engaging with simulations of the real-life rescue and
rehabilitation work performed by SeaWorld’s teams.
The Rescue Jr. area
will feature a variety of attractions tailored to excite, entertain and educate
children:
- The Beach
Rescue Racer, a thrilling new 1,000-foot roller coaster designed as a beach
jeep, will offer kids a fast-paced ride as they imagine racing to the aid of
animals in distress.
- The Ocean
Quest Express, a rescue-themed train ride where young adventurers can
embark on a mission to spot hidden sea creatures during their journey.
- Tide
Pool Tumble, an attraction
that mimics the ebb and flow of ocean tides as guests bob along on a joy ride.
- Seabird
Swing, a parasail-inspired
ride that allows kids to soar and "rescue" seabirds from high above.

will be an exciting addition to our park and put marine animal rescue at the
forefront with our guests. The new play area will be a fun and exciting way for
our guests to learn about the animal rescues that our dedicated teams do every
day, 365 days a year," said Jeff Davis, Park President, SeaWorld
San Antonio. "We know that Rescue Jr., along with all of our animal
habitats and presentations, will ignite a passion in young hearts, inspiring
them to become future animal rescuers, scientists, veterinarians or
conservationists."
