Universal Orlando Adding Nighttime Cinematic Celebration
Entertainment Donald Wood June 15, 2018

For travelers visiting Universal Orlando this summer, the theme park is taking its nighttime lagoon show to the next level with the debut of Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration.
The new show will give guests an awe-inspiring way to cap off their day at Universal Studios as they enjoy an epic movie experience under the stars on select nights. The celebration will blend fountain-based media, a variety of state-of-the-art technologies and special effects.
Along with a new storyline, the show will use water screens, pyrotechnics, projection mapping and more than 120 dancing fountains to transform the entire waterfront into a vivid celebration of epic movie moments and beloved characters.
To ensure the best possible view of the show, Universal Orlando dedicated a new viewing area specifically for the show that will give guests the best possible way to watch the experience.
The show will include scenes and characters from the Harry Potter series, Jurassic World, The Fast & the Furious, Despicable Me and more in the heart of the Universal Studios Florida lagoon.
With the addition of Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration, visitors to Universal will now have two nighttime shows to enjoy, following the previous launch of The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle in the Islands of Adventure park.
