10 Wineries Where You Can Spend the Night
Features & Advice Melinda Crow June 13, 2017

Even casual wine drinkers love wineries, especially the kind with onsite accommodations that let you enjoy the fresh, country air while offering great food and lots of laughter.
A current trend is wineries offering exclusive accommodations to the members of their wine clubs. However, here's a selection of wineries that offer weekend escapes to the public across the country:
The Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate; Asheville, North Carolina
Situated next to the estate winery, the hotel offers a casual atmosphere from which to explore the Asheville area or enjoy a quiet, do-nothing winery retreat. Specialty wine activities include wine and chocolate tastings, wine and cheese hours and behind-the-scenes tours.
The Villa at Messina Hof; Bryan, Texas
Enjoy some of the best wines in the Lone Star State while staying onsite at the Messina Hof vineyards in the villa’s charming suites. Your stay includes champagne breakfast each morning, tastings and a wine and cheese reception. The onsite restaurant, The Vintage House, is the perfect spot to end each night with dinner.
The Inn at Hermannhof; Hermann, Missouri
This luxury bed and breakfast is located just an hour and a half from St. Louis and has an old-world charm that makes a weekend here a true escape.
Some suites have stone terraces, deep soaking tubs and even fireplaces in the bathrooms. The winery produces 15,000 cases of award-winning wines per year in the historic cellars.
Glass House Winery; Free Union, Virginia
Chocolate, wine and a bed and breakfast set in a tropical atmosphere on the Monticello Wine Trail in Central Virginia are certainly among the reasons that make this one of the best wine escapes in the country.
Live music adds to the charm on most summer weekends.

Walla Faces Wines; Walla Walla, Washington
The Walla Walla Valley is home to more than 100 wineries. Center your winery escape at the Walla Faces Inn at the Vineyard, with sophisticated suites overlooking the vines.
South Coast Winery Resort & Spa; Temecula, California
Almost equidistant from Los Angeles and San Diego, Temecula is likely to be a little off your wine country radar, but the area boasts more than thirty wineries.
South Coast Winery Resort is ideally situated, with luxury suites and villas, a spa and an on-site restaurant. You may never want to leave.
The Lakehouse Inn; Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio
The southern shore of Lake Erie is the idyllic setting for this charming B&B, winery and spa. The onsite restaurant serves farm-to-table cuisine and there are more than twenty additional nearby wineries to explore. What more do you need?

The Inn at Glenora Wine Cellars; Dundee, New York
With thirty guest rooms, (adn some with whirlpool tubs), there are plenty of choices here. You can enjoy tastings, cellar tours or perhaps a chocolate and wine pairing experience. Dining onsite, featuring regional cuisine, is at Veraisons Restaurant.
Beltane Ranch; Glen Ellen, California
The Sonoma Valley wine country is famous for accommodations near the vineyards, but finding onsite lodging is a bit of a rarity.
The farm-stay B&B at Beltane Ranch is tranquil amid the horses, orchards and vineyards, allowing you to spend time doing absolutely nothing—except maybe munch on a chef-packed picnic of farm-produced goodies.
RustRidge Ranch Winery; St. Helena, California
Wine, race horses and views of the vineyards are the standard at this quiet ranch winery in Chiles Valley, perched almost 1,000 feet above the rest of Napa Valley. The microclimate helps create a variety of flavors in the wines. The rooms in the ranch-style B&B are casual and soothing—just what you need for your weekend escape.
