A stop by the pumpkin patch is a must in October, whether you're looking to find the perfect pumpkin for your Halloween Jack O'Lantern or simply take in some fresh air and atmosphere.
Pennsylvania's Linvilla Orchards is home to Pumpkinland, where more than 100 tons of pumpkins are on display alongside scarecrows and other figures. Pumpkinland is open now and will remain so through Nov. 6.
Elsewhere, Snohomish, Washington's Craven Farm boasts another standout pumpkin patch worth exploring. This 20-acre patch features more than two dozen varieties of pumpkins. The farm opens Sept. 24 and will remain open through Halloween.
