Tripadvisor has announced the winners of its annual 2026 Travelers' Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things To Do this week, revealing the top-rated travel experiences and attractions around the world, based on Tripadvisor reviews.
Europe Boasts Unparalleled Travel Sites and Experiences
A big takeaway from this year's awards is that Europe reigns supreme when it comes to premier travel experiences and attractions.
From the famous Royal Yacht Britannia in Edinburgh, Scotland, to Paris' Eiffel Tower and the Basílica de la Sagrada Familia in Barcelona in between, the continent is home to plenty of the world's best attractions, according to Tripadvisor users.
Edinburgh's The Real Mary King's Close and Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany, also made the list of the top 10 attractions worldwide for 2026.

When it comes to experiences, Europe can't be beaten either. The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center walking tour of Porto, Portugal, ranks as the number one travel experience in the world again this year (it also topped the list in 2024), based on Tripadvisor's 2026 Travelers' Choice Awards.
Other top experiences for 2026 include a day trip through Barcelona, a canal cruise of Amsterdam, a Beatles Magical Mystery Tour in Liverpool, England, a two-hour walking tour of Berlin, Germany, a historical pub tour of London and a scenic escape to Zakopane, Poland.

When it comes to Tripadvisor's domestic award winners, beloved tourist destinations such as New York City, Las Vegas and Hawaii stand out, securing multiple entries among the top attractions and travel experiences in 2026.
The Empire State Building is the country's top attraction, but has some competition from nearby sites such as iconic Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Big Apple also offers several popular travel experiences this year, such as a guided tour of Central Park and a 9/11 Memorial and Ground Zero tour.
Meanwhile, the top two travel experiences in the U.S. can be accessed from Las Vegas, with a Lower Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Day Tour and views of the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam topping Tripadvisor's list.
One-of-a-kind tours also await visitors to Honolulu, Hawaii, where the city's Majestic Circle Island Tour and Salute to Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona visit made the top 10.
