After more than 26 years in the travel industry, I can tell you one thing with absolute certainty: The relationships you build along the way matter just as much as the business you create.

I still remember some of the very first friends I made in this industry. More than two decades later, many remain part of my life. We've celebrated successes, navigated challenges, watched our families grow, and shared more laughs than I could ever count. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

That's what makes this industry so special to me. It's not simply about where we send people. It's about the people we surround ourselves with along the journey.

Today, luxury travel advisors have more choices than ever when deciding where to build their businesses. Different host agencies, different programs, different philosophies. And here's something I believe wholeheartedly: There is no one-size-fits-all solution. And thank goodness for that, because what a boring world it would be!

Finding the right place to land is personal. It's about finding a community that reflects your values, supports your ambitions, challenges you to grow, and genuinely celebrates your success.

When I came up with the idea for Opulence and brought the vision to Outside Agents, I wanted to build something that felt different. A place where luxury advisors could connect with exceptional supplier partners, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and grow their businesses together.

But there's another philosophy I continually share with our Opulence community, and interestingly enough, it's one my own son, Josh Wright, reminds me of every day.

Get 1% better every single day.

Josh is constantly talking about how doing small things consistently can make a big difference. I love that he thinks this way, and as his mother, I find myself inspired by his mindset. Sometimes our children end up teaching us just as much as we teach them!

And he's not alone. I'm seeing more executives sharing this same philosophy. Scroll through Instagram and you'll see leaders like Ken Muskat, President of Scenic Group, sharing motivational messages about personal growth, mindset and making each day count.

It's a wonderful reminder that no matter where we are in our careers, there is always room to grow.

I tell our Opulence advisors this all the time. Want to grow your luxury business? Try something new. Reach out to a supplier you've never sold. Learn about a destination that's unfamiliar. Attend an event, make a new connection, collaborate with another advisor or introduce your clients to a brand they haven't experienced.

You don't have to change everything overnight. Just do something today that makes you 1% better than yesterday.

Imagine what those small steps can mean over a year.

I believe the most successful people in our industry aren't necessarily the ones doing the biggest things. They're the ones consistently doing the little things that make a difference.

And after all these years, I still believe there's room for every one of us to learn, grow, and make an impact.

So wherever you choose to build your luxury business, find your people. Find your passion. Find the place that makes you excited to show up every day.
