Global Travel Collection (GTC), one of the world’s largest luxury travel advisor organizations representing more than $2.4 billion in annual sales, today announced the launch of its Technology Advisory Council, an invitation-only group of advisors who will help shape the technology powering GTC’s luxury travel business.
As GTC continues to invest in technology, the Council will bring advisors’ day-to-day experience into product strategy and development, helping identify priorities, improve workflows and inform new capabilities.
“This Council wasn’t created to be symbolic, it was created to be impactful,” said Mark Munley, Chief Information Officer, Global Travel Collection. “Our advisors know where technology creates value and where it creates friction. Their perspective will directly influence our roadmap, our investment priorities and the tools we build to help advisors grow their businesses.”
Council members will work with GTC’s technology team to evaluate new capabilities, test solutions before launch and help guide long-term technology investments, ensuring advisor perspectives are incorporated throughout the development process.
The Technology Advisory Council is the latest step in GTC’s broader investment in technology built around the needs of its advisors. Recent launches include Atlas, an AI-powered platform projected to reclaim more than 1.5 million advisor hours annually by simplifying complex itinerary planning, and The Exchange, a confidential platform created to help advisors navigate growth, partnership and succession. With the Council, GTC is extending that approach by giving advisors a direct role in identifying the problems technology should solve next.
“The best technology isn’t built in isolation. It’s built alongside the advisors who use it every day,” Munley added. “At Global Travel Collection, our advisors don’t just benefit from innovation, they help create it.”
For advisors considering a new host home, the Council reinforces GTC’s commitment to investing in technology while giving advisors a meaningful voice in shaping the tools they use.
