Marriott International's boutique lifestyle brand AC Hotels by Marriott has unveiled its ambitious expansion plans for the new year.
On Tuesday, the brand announced plans for 22 new design-led hotels around the globe that are scheduled to open their doors to guests in 2016.
The busy year is set to kick off with five openings this month, including the AC Guadalajara and AC Queretaro in Mexico, the AC Cincinnati North/West Chester in Ohio, the AC Boston North in Massachusetts and the AC Marseille in France.
Over the course of 2016, additional AC properties will open in Brazil, Chile, England, Germany, Israel, Panama, Poland and the U.S.
The existing AC Hotels by Marriott properties stand out courtesy of the brand's signature design, which includes monochromatic schemes in the guestrooms as well as open-concept spaces in the lobby and other areas.
Plus, no two hotels are the same, as each is designed to reflect its location. The local charm carries over into the hotels' food and drink programming. For example, guests passing through the hotel lounge will have access to local craft beers, wines and foods.
The AC Library and complimentary Wi-Fi are among the many amenities offered.

Founded by Spanish hotelier Antonio Catalan nearly two decades ago, AC Hotels formed a joint venture with Marriott in 2011. Currently, the brand's portfolio boasts more than 80 hotels worldwide.
