El Cid has announced major renovations to its four properties in Mazatlan, Mexico.
The revamp included updates to all areas of the resorts, including rooms, restaurants, pools and public areas.
All of the 1,210 rooms at each resort received upgrades, being enhanced with new furniture, linens, and upgraded bathroom facilities.
El Cid's popular La Concha restaurant underwent a complete renovation of its outdoor patio. La Alhambra and El Alcazar now have new flooring and upgraded kitchen equipment as well as new furniture.
Pools were upgraded for safety as well as aesthetics and have new tile. Public spaces have new lighting and all elevators have been redone.
Some of the most captivating upgrades are in the lobby areas of each resort.
Renowned designers and architects Ezequiel Farca and Cristina Grappin redesigned and renovated the lobby and lobby bars at El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel and El Cid Marina Beach Hotel. The reimagined spaces feature natural materials, elegant details, and comfortable functionality.
However, each property offers its own distinct sense of style. El Cid Marina Beach Hotel has a new state-of-the-art aromatherapy air conditioner, and El Cid Castilla Beach Hotel has custom-made light fixtures created by the Mexican artist Betsabee Romero now hang from its ceiling.
The Elite Club, for guests at El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel and El Cid Marina Beach Hotel, also received an upgrade that includes a renovated snack and beverage bar, comfortable lounging areas, special access to check-in or out and a computer area with high-speed internet access.
El Cocay Amenity Spa & Gym is a new fitness and wellness facility located at El Cid Marina Beach Hotel that was opened at the end of 2017. Guests can enjoy a fully equipped gym, dedicated facilities for hand and foot care, three individual spa cabins, and a salon. Spa treatments include deep tissue, Thai, hot stone therapies, and reflexology.
The resort upgrades follow Mazatlan's ongoing renaissance as a city upgrading for future generations of travelers.
