Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Cisneros Real Estate are set to debut Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia, a sustainable resort located on the southern portion of Samaná Bay, in early 2026.
Tropicalia is Cisneros’ private estate and includes “a diverse ecosystem of white-sand beaches; crystalline, aquamarine water and coral reefs; mountains, forests, mangroves, lagoons and rivers; a working coconut plantation; and an organic farm,” Four Seasons said.
In all, the 60-acre resort, which is set on Playa Esmeralda, will be equipped with 95 guestrooms and 25 private three- and four-bedroom residences.
The property will feature an eclectic array of culinary and food-and-beverage options, a spa and fitness facilities, a yoga pavilion, a For All Seasons children’s club, event spaces and more.
“More than 10 years ago, we embarked on a journey to support social sustainability through innovative projects in agriculture, gender equality, education, environment, entrepreneurship and microfinance” through Cisneros’ nonprofit organization, Fundación Tropicalia, said Cisneros Chief Executive Officer Adriana Cisneros.
“Our goal was to create a new kind of luxury destination that is in balance both with nature and with the local community.”
“The design of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is slated to qualify for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, one of the world’s most respected standards for ‘green buildings, and the first of its kind in the Dominican Republic,” Four Seasons said.
