Hard Rock hotels have long been wowing guests with edgy, memorabilia-filled properties, but now the brand is taking that effort to an entirely new level.
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida has just announced plans for a sweeping $1.5 billion expansion that will include three new hotel towers, one of which is to be the world's only guitar-shaped hotel tower.
The 638-room tower, slated to be complete this fall, is part of a broader plan that includes an expanded gaming floor, a new Rock Spa, 13.5 acres of recreational waterscape and more.
The expansion of the casino gaming floor, for instance, will bring nearly 200 table games and more than 3,000 slot machines to Seminole Hard Rock. The new, 30,000-square-foot casino will also include a High Limit Slots room with denominations ranging from $1 to $1,000.
Sixteen unique new concept restaurants and 20 bars, including nightlife outlets and restaurant bars, will also be added to the Hollywood property.
Also coming this fall, a 13.5-acre pool lagoon with three distinct waterfront areas including a true beach-style experience, created with locally sourced Florida sand dotted with comfortable beach chairs; a private, tropical lagoon-style setting with waterfalls and swaying palms; and a large water expanse, nearly as long as three football fields, that will offer water activities such as canoeing, paddle- boarding and more.
And not to be overlooked, expansion plans also include a new 6,500-seat Hard Rock Live state-of-the-art entertainment venue with technical capabilities to support A-List acts, as well as nationally televised awards shows and sporting events.
But back to that jaw-dropping guitar hotel. It has been designed to resemble back-to-back guitars, complete with guitar faces and brightly lit strings, the company said in a statement. Easily an engineering masterpiece, the tower will reach 450 feet into the sky and be outfitted with floor-to-ceiling glass panes.
There will also be a new nine-story Oasis Hotel tower that includes 168 guestrooms overlooking a new pool lagoon and private pool area.
The new guitar property officially opens October 24 and reservations can be made online beginning July 24.
Bonus tip: the property will throw a grand opening party headlined by Maroon 5. Tickets are available for purchase starting May 31.
