Karisma Hotels & Resorts divulged details on its new children's program that will bring such Nickelodeon characters as Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob Squarepants to Azul Hotels this summer.
The Nickelodeon Experience - complete with Nickelodeon Concierges - will begin as soon as kids arrive, where at check in, they'll be greeted with Slime Smoothie welcome drinks and iPads loaded with content detailing all the elements of the program. Throughout their stay, kids will have the chance to interact with Nickelodeon characters during chance encounters at the resorts' pools and restaurants, pre-arranged meet and greets and weekly Nickelodeon Orange Carpet appearances.
"Nickelodeon is a favorite of families around the world and we are very excited to present unique ways for kids and their parents to embark on vacation adventures alongside Dora, Boots, SpongeBob, Patrick, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," said Rafael Feliz Jr., corporate brand manager at Karisma Hotels & Resorts.
For an additional charge, families can book Azul Parties, with Nickelodeon characters performing theme songs followed by meet and greets.
The Nickelodeon Experience will also be evidenced in the Azul dining experience, featuring a variety of themed food and beverage options. Families will be able to participate in Character Breakfasts, where kids can dance with Nickelodeon characters.
The staffed Azulitos Playhouse will provide Nickelodeon-themed activities, water play areas, rope climbs, jungle gyms and teeter totters, among other things.
Azul properties will also house Nickelodeon retail shops. When booking resort stays, families can purchase Nick Knack Packs, which will include a variety of branded products for kids designed to enhance the Nickelodeon program.
Karisma announced the Nickelodeon program in November. It replaces a program operated by Fisher-Price. Karisma's Azul properties include the Azul Beach Hotel, Azul Sensatori and Azul Fives. All three are located in Mexico's Riviera Maya.
In addition to the new Nickelodeon program, Azul Hotels also feature teen clubs, splash parks, movie nights with popcorn, suites for two adults and three young children, guaranteed connecting suites for older kids, adults-only swimming and lounging areas, and nightly entertainment.
