That Margaritaville state of mind will make its presence known in the Big Apple with the opening of a $300 million hotels in the heart of Times Square.
Scheduled to open its doors in late 2020, the 29-story Margaritaville Resort Hotel will be equipped with 234 guestrooms and all the signature Margaritaville food-and-beverage concepts that its guests have to expect-including a rooftop LandShark Bar & Grill and pool Margaritaville Restaurant, 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar, St. Somewhere Spa and Floridays Airstream Café. The hotel will also include a new concept for the brand, the Chill Bar
"From the beaches of Florida to the Great Smoky Mountains to the corner of Seventh Avenue and 40th Street, Margaritaville brings fun, relaxation and a much-needed escape from the every day to any set of coordinates," said John Cohlan, chief executive officer of Margaritaville.
"The Margaritaville Resort Hotel and the lifestyle experience it offers will be the perfect complement to the exciting, fast-paced energy of Times Square and we can't wait to bring this destination to the travelers and residents of New York City."
The New York property will be Margaritaville's second urban hotel. In 2019, the company is scheduled to unveil a 217-room hotel in downtown Nashville.
It is also set to open a 300-acre property in Orlando later this year, and another in Nassau in 2019.
The company is also entering into the all-inclusive resort through partnership with Karisma Hotels & Resorts to create the first Margaritaville resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. The first such resort is scheduled to make its debut in 2019 adjacent to Karisma's Azul Beach Resort Sensatori in Riviera Maya.
Margaritaville officials said more details about the New York hotel will be released in the next several months.
