The Iroquois New York, Hotel Chandler, Hotel Belleclaire, The Cosmopolitan, The Gershwin, and The Washington Jefferson have united to form the New York City hotel brand, Triumph Hotels.
Triumph now boasts nearly 1,000 rooms in its portfolio, encompassing 460,000 square feet and representing $50 million in investments to renovate and refresh historic buildings over the last several years.
Triumph has big things planned for 2014. In addition to seeking opportunities to add new hotels to its brand, it is also gearing up to introduce new initiatives and programs, including a brand loyalty program and brand-wide packages and promotions. It also will be expanding its meeting and event space.
For those interested in the culinary arts (or food in general), Triumph will be looking for more like-minded partners to build on the success of Triomphe in The Iroquois and Juni by Michelin-starred Chef Shaun Hergatt in Hotel Chandler.
The family-owned company strives to retain its history and character while also incorporating modern designs and comforts into its six tri-state hotels. Maintaining its distinct history would seem to be a good idea, considering the likes of Leona Helmsley (Hotel Chandler), James Dean (The Iroquois) and Abraham Lincoln (Cosmopolitan) have stayed within the company's walls throughout the years.
"As a native New Yorker who grew up in the hospitality business, we worked hard to create hotels, and now a brand, that are rich in architecture, history and design, and are well-positioned to provide neighborhood-centric experiences," co-owner Gerald Barad said. "While the collection of hotels have individual identities, they all offer a one-of-a-kind, service-oriented stay that defines the Triumph brand. As a 21st century company, we developed brand standards that encourage personalization, and of course, are distinctly New York."
Each of Triumph's boutique hotels is offering the "Key To New York City" package to celebrate the brand launch. The package allows guests to unlock a distinct New York experience in the Upper West Side, Theater District, Midtown, NoMad, Flatiron, and TriBeCa neighborhoods of New York City.
