Omni Hotels & Resorts announced that reservations are now live for the brand’s first luxury property in Mexico, Omni Pontoque at Punta de Mita. Set to open in Spring 2027, Omni Pontoque is nestled between the mountains and white-sand beaches of Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit, surrounded by lush tropical landscape.
Spanning 50 oceanfront acres, Omni Pontoque will encompass 202 guest rooms, 28 junior suites, 14 suites with private plunge pools, and two cliff-perched, four-bedroom residential-style villas, blending contemporary design and natural textures. The resort will feature a luxury spa, three ocean-view restaurants, five resort pools, private access to a 1,250-foot white-sand beach, additional private amenities, and more than 27,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.
“Opening reservations for Omni Pontoque represents a significant step forward for Omni Hotels & Resorts as we prepare to welcome guests to our first luxury property in Mexico,” said Dan Piotrowski, Senior Vice President of Operations of Omni Hotels & Resorts. “Omni Pontoque will deliver a breadth of amenities and warm, personalized service that define the Omni experience. With beachfront accommodations, wellness and dining, the resort creates a memorable stay grounded in the natural beauty of the Riviera Nayarit.”
“We have been eagerly anticipating this moment,” said Fernando Gibaja, General Manager of Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita. “This marks an exciting new chapter as we officially open our doors to individual travelers and families. We are incredibly proud to welcome our guests and look forward to creating exceptional, memorable experiences for them for years to come.”
Five exceptional dining venues make up the resort’s food and beverage offerings. Tatei, Omni Pontoque’s signature restaurant, will highlight fresh seafood and coastal fare, served beachfront with sweeping Pacific Ocean views. Zuravé will honor refined regional traditions alongside modern culinary techniques. The hotel’s pool bar and grill will offer casual poolside fare and handcrafted cocktails, while Esmeralda will provide all-day dining, combining global flavors with local ingredients. Periiku will present artisanal coffee, handmade ice cream, and a gourmet market offering grab-and-go snacks.
Omni Pontoque will also offer 27,295 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, with a range of venues designed for intimate weddings, industry events, and leadership offsites. The spaces will flow effortlessly between ballrooms, oceanfront pavilions, and event lawns, with the 5,869-square-foot Parota Ballroom drawing natural light from expansive windows and opening onto the 6,475-square-foot Papelillo Event Lawn, which can accommodate up to 750 guests. Three private breakout rooms will provide seclusion for leadership retreats and summits. Tzicuri Pavilion will include a patio and lawn space overlooking the Pacific Ocean, ideal for alfresco receptions or celebrations. All spaces will be equipped with advanced AV technology and high-speed connectivity.
The Spa at Omni Pontoque will be an 11,105-square-foot facility conceived as a village of 12 standalone buildings featuring 14 treatment rooms. Designed as a destination in its own right, the spa will feature treatments inspired by the surrounding landscape and tailored to each guest’s individual needs. An oceanfront fitness center will include indoor and outdoor exercise areas and a full array of equipment.
Guests of all ages will find a range of local activities, with something for everyone from families and couples to adventure seekers and wellness enthusiasts. A dedicated kids club gives younger guests a space of their own to play and explore. Guided nature tours and boat charters to the uninhabited Islas Marietas can be arranged through the resort, with mountain trails, ATV routes and ziplines offering ways to explore the lush valleys, jungle canopy and coastline.
Reservations for Omni Pontoque at Punta de Mita's leading category rooms and suites are now available, with stays beginning March 2, 2027. Additional details, including the official opening date, will be announced soon.
