Palace Resorts Celebrates Grand Opening of Le Blanc Los Cabos
Hotel & Resort Palace Resorts Lena Katz March 29, 2018

Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos made its grand debut last weekend in the chic style the travel industry has come to expect from this sophisticated all-inclusive brand: Over the course of three nights and days, it hosted intimate cocktail parties, local sightseeing excursions, behind-the-scenes site tours, lavish dine-around events and live music performances for a mix of trade, media, VIPs, Palace Resorts employees and international socialites.
“The Le Blanc Spa Resort brand is already recognized around the world as the top luxury hotel in Cancun, and we know we will bring the same exceptional caliber of service to Los Cabos,” Executive Vice President Gibran Chapur promised.
And people with experience of it agree, Le Blanc is a property that can compete with Los Cabos’ European Plan luxury icons in every aspect: architecture and design, culinary offering, luxury amenities and luxurious guest experience. The property has seven restaurants and six bars – Le Blanc repeat guests will recognize signature restaurant Lumiere, and pastries by Antonio Bachour. Each of the 373 guest accommodations features Bulgari bath amenities and full-size bottles of top-shelf liquors. Every guest accommodation also is assigned a butler.
“With this new resort, we are bringing something very important to the destination of Los Cabos that did not exist until today – an adults-only, luxury all-inclusive that has spared no detail in its opulence,” Chapur said at the official grand opening party on March 24.
Opulence was a hallmark of the Saturday night grand-opening festivities: Champagne flowed, aerial performers floated in a purple cloud above the pool, and a crowd of hundreds joined Chapur in toasting a new chapter of the Los Cabos lodging scene. In keeping with Le Blanc’s policy of never closing its venues for private venues, many hotel guests joined the invitees for the after-dinner celebration.
Le Blanc has an oceanfront infinity pool, three turquoise free-form pools, an open-air oceanfront bistro, and a fitness center. The white walls, accented with colored glass and desert trees, convey a soothing balance of elegance and tranquility.
Unlike the flagship Cancun property, which was bought from another owner, this property was designed around the natural land and sea features, and the owners’ vision. The pearlescent high-ceilinged foyer opens out to a pathway that leads out to the Wind Terrace, overlooking the Pacific Ocean – an ocean that’s too strong for swimming at this section, but beautifully dramatic with its foam-flecked, crashing surf. This is a perfect spot for a wedding and a memorable site for a VIP cocktail hour. The kickoff cocktail party showcased it at its sunset best.
With its plush rooms – the majority furnished with king-sized beds – and oversized bathtubs, its Pacific overlooks and flickering firepit lounge, Le Blanc is a wonderfully romantic property. Like its Caribbean cousin, it will appeal to wedding parties, honeymooners and anniversary travelers. However, the brand caters to incentive groups, and with an 8,386-square-foot main ballroom and multiple outdoor terraces, it can offer a state-of-the-art space for meetings and events.
