Paradisus Cancun, the all-inclusive luxury resort from Meliá
Hotels International has announced its re-opening after a complete $50
million renovation.
As one of the region’s most iconic landmarks, Paradisus
Cancun is situated along a prime beachfront location, blending luxury, culture
and wellness. Preserving its iconic pyramid architecture, the resort unveiled
773 fully redesigned luxury suites featuring natural materials, warm tones,
handcrafted touches and smart comforts. Nine new culinary concepts, seven bar
venues, a new Aquazone splash park and a new Kidsdom kids club are part of the
renovation.
“Paradisus Cancun is a truly special
property for both the company and for our family, as it remains one of the
most distinctive resorts in Cancun, originally opened more than 35 years ago by
our founder,” said Gabriel Escarrer Jaume, Chairman and CEO of Meliá Hotels
International in a statement.
He added, “The reopening of Paradisus Cancun embodies the
essence of our purpose: to elevate luxury experiences in the world’s most
coveted destinations, creating unforgettable moments in a setting that blends
culture, wellness, and sophistication, all delivered with the warm, exceptional
hospitality that defines Meliá.”
Elevated Luxury Experiences
Two distinct luxe experiences include the Family Concierge
and The Reserve. The Family Concierge provides a family experience where comfort
meets thoughtful attention featuring spacious suites, a redesigned lounge,
dedicated Destination Concierge service, premium amenities for all ages,
reserved beach areas, access to exclusive restaurants, and more.
The Reserve provides an exclusive adults-only (+18 years)
haven with personalized luxury, serenity and elevated comfort with highly
personalized Destination Concierge service, private lounge spaces, reserved
pool and beach areas, and access to exclusive gastronomic experiences.
Multi-Gen Family Fun
With a new focus on multigenerational travel, reimagined
spaces cater to every member of the family. Aquazone, a brand-new splash park
features dynamic slides, splash zones and water fun. The newly redesigned
Kidsdom offers age-appropriate interactive, creative and educational
opportunities for infants and kids, while teens and adults have activities
designed to entertain, inspire and engage.
Elevated Culinary Concepts
The dining scene at Paradisus Cancun celebrates global
flavors and the vibrant essence of the Yucatan. Guests can select refined
signature experiences, casual yet immersive dining, and dynamic social spaces
designed for connection and celebration.
New dining concepts include Vibra, serving bold gourmet
flavors in a colorful upbeat space, and Kao offering contemporary Japanese
fare. Zesty features comfort food and Gastro Hall’s buffet serves local and
multicultural specialties.
Sal, is a steakhouse with stunning oceanfront views,
Capella, sports a more intimate setting with Italian classics and Agua Marina
specializes in seafood dishes from the Mexican coasts. Mexican taqueria Blue
Agave and Sante offer a range of Mediterranean flavors exclusive for The
Reserve guests.
Inspired Spaces
The resort now offers over 32,000 feet of indoor and outdoor
meeting and event space, making it one of the largest convention centers in the
Paradisus by Meliá portfolio with 22 breakout rooms, state-of-the-art
technology, five-star catering, and a dedicated events team.
A newly renovated Bridal Suite designed with luxurious
interiors, personalized touches, and ocean views offers seamless convenience
just steps from the wedding gazebo.
