Raffles Hotels & Resorts, the venerable Singaporean hotel chain whose history dates back to 1887, opened the 147-room Raffles Boston, its first Raffles Hotel & Residences in North America.
“Raffles properties act as vessels for generations of world travelers to explore destinations through the highest level of hospitality and gracious service, Raffles & Orient Express CEO Omer Acar.
“Boston represents a historic and sophisticated cultural hub in the United States, and we could not imagine a more well-suited city to play host to the Raffles experience for years to come.”
The 35-story, sustainable newbuild hotel welcomes guests on the 17th floor to the three-story Sky Lobby with spiraling Grand Stair, a signature Raffles feature.
Food-and-beverage offerings are also set on the 17th floor and include Amar by Chef George Mendes, the hotel’s signature restaurant, which offers a modern take on Portuguese food; the Long Bar & Terrace cocktail lounge and a Speakeasy featuring cocktails and snacks.
“Also on the 17th floor is the Raffles Writer’s Lounge, a signature Raffles space made famous for the esteemed writers and poets who have frequented it within the flagship Raffles Singapore and a number of other Raffles hotels around the world,” Raffles said.
The Guerlain Spa at Raffles Boston, a full-service gym and 66-foot swimming pool proffering up sweeping views of the city are located on fourth floor.
“Years in the making, this hotel will transport the legacy of the Raffles brand to Boston, welcoming travelers and locals alike to experience its allure – from impeccable design and exceptional food-and-beverage programming to indulgent wellness offerings and world-class service,” said Raffles Boston General Manager Oliver Dudler.
