Royal Sonesta New Orleans has unveiled its newly reimagined Grand Ballroom. The renowned hotel, located in the heart of the French Quarter on Bourbon Street, recently opened the doors to its redesigned event space upon completion of a multiyear renovation. Atlanta-headquartered full-service design group, Design One Studio, handled the remodel.
In keeping with the hotel's prime and luxurious Vieux Carre positioning, the more than 5,000 square foot room's design draws inspiration from a softer sophisticated side. The aesthetic uses an incandescent subtle color palette with traditional patterns. The feeling of the space is romantic, glamorous and updated, integrating seamlessly with the existing interior, while complementing the broader architectural elements of the landmark hotel.
New updates to the ballroom and additional meeting space also include a state-of-the-art banquet kitchen, along with completely upgraded audio technology system controls, plus other amenities.
"We're extremely proud to showcase our reimagined Grand Ballroom," said Royal Sonesta New Orleans General Manager Alfred Groos. "Everywhere you turn, there's a fresh take on modern elegance, which reflects our well-known and admired standard of luxury," he added. "It's a spectacular new backdrop for events, and we look forward to welcoming guests for many occasions."
Earlier this year, Royal Sonesta New Orleans renovated its 483 guest rooms and 36 suites. Now, with its shining ballroom space completed, the hotel aims to be guests' premier destination throughout the entire year for weddings, corporate events, seasonal occasions and full-scale holiday affairs.
