Starwood Hotels & Resorts is celebrating StarwoodPro's five-year anniversary with the launch of its 15th destination module, Starwood Destination the Dominican Republic, while also offering the opportunity for five StarwoodPros to visit Punta Cana.
Throughout the year-long celebration, Starwood will offer prizes to travel professionals, ranging from gift cards to free stays to branded gifts. Every module a travel professional completes or has completed in the last five years will serve as an entry for a chance to win.
"We see StarwoodPro's anniversary celebration as another opportunity to recognize travel professionals for their time, commitment, and passion for our brands by rewarding them with even bigger surprise and delights, prizes, promotions and more," said Chris Austin, Vice President, Global Leisure & Luxury Sales. "If you are not yet a StarwoodPro, here's yet one more reason to take the time to complete our Loyalty and Brands module and become a StarwoodPro today."
Starwood-which boasts nearly 1,200 properties across 100 countries around the globe-offers 15 different destination "immersions" through its StarwoodPro travel professional program. Each month, new destination prizes will be added from Starwood's nine brands and StarwoodPros will have a chance to experience the destinations that Starwood calls home.
The new Dominican Republic Destination module focuses on Punta Cana and Starwood's newly opened island properties, the Westin Puntacana Resort and the Four Points by Sheraton Puntacana Village. The Westin Puntacana Resort is situated on the white sands of Playa Blanca beach and boasts 200 rooms and suites. The Four Points by Sheraton Puntacana Village offers 124 guest rooms. Both properties are part of the Puntacana Resort & Club, which offers access to water sports, shopping, 15 restaurants, and golf and spa experiences.
Only StarwoodPro Loyalty & Brands module graduates have access to Starwood's 15 destination modules. Existing ProLearning destination modules have already been viewed by thousands of current StarwoodPros. The destinations include Thailand, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Mexico, the Maldives, Fiji, Bali, Hainan Island in China, Macau, Greece, Canada, Rio de Janeiro, Panama City and Buenos Aires. Additional destinations will debut throughout StarwoodPro's fifth anniversary year.
