Tivoli Hotels & Resorts has opened its first hotel in Italy along the scenic Gulf of Trieste, called the Tivoli Portopiccolo Sistiana Wellness Resort & Spa.
The Tivoli Portopiccolo Sistiana is located on a scenic stretch of the Adriatic in the Duino Cliffs Nature Reserve, and is located near a luxury marina, restaurants, bars and shops.
The resort offers 58 rooms and suites, in addition to 30 apartments. Rates begin at $330 per night per double occupancy, with breakfast for two.

Amenities include the Purobeach Portopiccolo private beach club, the Green beach and six swimming pools, one of which is for adults only. Later this year, the resort’s Terme di Saturnia spa will open, offering 38,000 square feet of private treatment rooms, a large indoor/outdoor vitality pool with views of the sea, saunas, steam rooms and more.
The resort offers a variety of dining venues, from globally-inspired 3M, which offers fare from nachos to salmon poke, to Ocyan, which offers the freshest local fish and Mediterranean cuisine. Lighter fare and snacks can be found at The Azur Lounge Bar, which also doubles as a scenic drinking venue with marina views.

Travelers can easily visit Trieste’s many attractions, or take day trips to nearby Slovenia and Croatia. Portopiccolo itself is a car-free destination, offering a great slow living experience for travelers.
