The Tropicana Los Cabos, which was originally constructed as the Tropicana Inn in 1956, is scheduled to open its doors in San Jose del Cabo’s Arts District in August.
The hotel, which will be situated in the Arts District’s square, will be equipped with 68 guestrooms and two suites; the Tropicana Pool Bar; and two restaurants, Cocina de las California for farm-to-table cuisine, and El Patio, spotlighting meals reflecting traditional specialties with a Baja Mediterranean flare.
Tropicana Los Cabos will also include a wellness center featuring such services and activities as Tibetan bowl singing, guided meditation and yoga classes on an outdoor terrace; a game room with a pool table and board games; and a hot tub and pool.
The hotel will provide guests with bicycles on a complimentary basis and offer a generous number of curated excursions and activities, including downtown e-bike and walking tours, eco-adventure tours, Latin dance classes, culinary workshops and more.
The property, which is located 20 minutes from the Los Cabos International Airport, will also have 8,353 feet of indoor-outdoor meeting space, accommodating up to 130 guests.

“We are so pleased to introduce our new version of the classic Tropicana experience,” said Tropicana Los Cabos General Manager Manuel Sillas.
“Tropicana Los Cabos sits in the very heart of San Jose del Cabo and upon opening will offer guests a home base for exploring this vibrant, walkable destination.
“With so many options for grand hotels and beach resorts in Los Cabos at large, we are proud to offer something different – intimacy and community, along with exemplary hospitality.”
