Artist Robin Bell is at it again.
Bell used recent controversial comments made by President Donald Trump to create a projection on the exterior of the president's Washington D.C. hotel.
"This place is a shithole" was projected onto the front steps of the Trump International Hotel on Saturday, an apparent reference to Trump using such profanity in association with Haiti and African nations.
The projection also included several smiley poop emojis and a longer message that mocked Trump and his supporters, urging others to reject white supremacist attitudes, according to the Huffington Post.
The projection's additional text read in part: "This is not normal" and included such messages as "stay vigilant" and "#resist."
Bell, the founder of the video project company Bell Visuals, has previously made headlines for similar projections on Trump's Washington hotel and other buildings that have ties to controversial political figures.
Last spring, Bell projected the message "Emoluments welcome" and "Pay Trump bribes here" on the front of the Washington hotel in response to various controversial actions by the president. He has also targeted Attorney General Jeff Sessions, projecting "#SessionsMustGo" and "I thought KKK was Ok until I learned they smoked pot" on the Department of Justice building.
Bell's latest protest comes on the heels of Trump reportedly saying last week: "Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?"
It was a question posed to lawmakers who had suggested granting visas to individuals from Haiti, El Salvador and multiple African nations. The president's reported comment has been criticized and condemned around the world, including by Haitian leaders and representatives from African nations.
Democrats and some Republicans have also expressed disappointment over the president's statement.
Since taking office, rates at Trump's hotels have significantly declined.
