Technoloy can make just about everything better, including sleep.
International hotel chain YOTEL, in conjunction with mattress company Serta, has introduced its signature SmartBed designed to provide additional comfort and convenience.
Serta developed the space-saving mattress, which converts from a flatbed to a couch with the touch of a button, exclusively for YOTEL.
Tested and installed at YOTEL's flagship property in New York, guests appear to be warming up to the concept, providing mostly positive feedback.
"The heart of YOTEL's mission is to provide an elevated level of comfort for business and leisure travellers and flexing to their needs," said company CEO Hubert Viriot in a statement via a press release. "Since sleep and comfort are undeniably top priorities for our guests, we researched and developed an exciting and unique solution that fits the YOTEL brand and delivers the best experience."

In addition to the new SmartBed, YOTEL has launched a corresponding YAWN campaign aimed at promoting sleep and assisting restless guests in getting to sleep.

In addition to YouTube, the video will be available to YOTEL guests via the company's in-house television channel.
Guests at the YOTEL New York will be able to drift off to sleep on a SmartBed immediately, while customers at other YOTEL properties can expect to relax on the new mattresses in the not-so-distant future.
