At least 10 people, including seven crew members, were injured after an American Airlines flight experienced severe turbulence over the Atlantic Ocean.
AA Flight 759, which originated in Athens, Greece, headed for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, hit the turbulence shortly before landing. Among the injured was a flight attendant who reportedly dislocated his shoulder.
Jessica Huseman, a reporter for ProPublica according to her Twitter profile, was onboard the flight and tweeted updates after landing.

Note, while her original tweet says NYC but she later clarifies that she was headed to Philadelphia.
According to Huseman, the flight attendants had just finished serving drinks, which is when the plane "just lurched" and drinks went flying.
She also posted an image of coffee trapped inside the lighting system on board the aircraft and an update on how passengers used their fleece blankets to help clean the ceiling after their drinks went flying.
Huseman also described how impressed she was with AA flight attendants and employees during and after the situation.
According to 6abc.com, the flight, which had 287 passengers and 12 crew members on board, landed safely at 3:10 p.m. at Philadelphia International Airport.

6ABC News also received the following statement from American Airlines.
"American Airlines flight 759 from Athens, Greece to Philadelphia International Airport briefly encountered severe turbulence shortly before landing safely in Philadelphia. The seat belt sign was on at the time. Three passengers and seven crew members were transported to a local hospital for evaluation. We are taking care of our passengers and our crew members at this time and want to thank our team members for keeping our passengers safe."
