This summer, American Airlines passengers will be treated to a new accessory that transitions from plane to FIFA World Cup stadium, thanks to the carrier’s new amenity kits.
The Fort Worth-based carrier is rolling out Team USA-themed amenity kits in its premium cabins this June and July.
The kits are a variety of crossbodies and wristlets made with clear material designed to accommodate strict bag rules at stadiums participating in the landmark tournament.
“Not only will we help fly fans to host cities on more flights than any other domestic carrier, but these amenity kits will help build excitement and passion for the tournament — and are match day ready!” said American’s Chief Marketing Officer Caroline Clayton. “We’re excited to see them become part of this iconic tournament.”
Here’s a look at the bags American’s premium fliers will receive throughout June and July:
- Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred seats: A clear bag with blue leather piping and a removable crossbody strap.
- Flagship Business and Flagship Suite seats: A clear bag with leather piping detail that can be worn two ways — as a belt bag or crossbody.
- Premium Economy: A clear pouch with a removable wrist strap.
In addition to the usual hand lotion and lip balm, the refreshed kits in the Flagship cabins will also offer summer-specific items like after-sun cooling gel and soccer-style socks.

"These amenity kits are a creative way for American Airlines to celebrate the summer of soccer and help fans carry that excitement with them, from the airport to the stadium and everywhere in between.”
The carrier has added 27,000 seats across 12 new and existing routes between the World Cup’s host cities and will fly 1.45 million premium seats during the tournament.
