AmaWaterways will add two new ships to its fleet in 2026.
The new AmaSofia will sail the Rhine and Danube rivers in Europe while the new AmaMaya will sail on the Mekong River in Cambodia and Vietnam.
AmaSofia is scheduled to debut on May 24, 2026, as the 24th ship in the AmaWaterways fleet to sail in Europe.
The ship’s first voyage will be a 14-night itinerary called “Magnificent Europe” between Amsterdam and Budapest. In total, AmaSofira will make 31 departures in 2026, including the line’s popular “Melodies of the Danube,” “Romantic Danube” and “Christmas Markets on the Danube” itineraries.
AmaMaya is slated to set sail for the first time on August 3, 2026, joining the AmaDara on the Mekong. The vessel will offer two seven-night itineraries, “Charms of the Mekong” and “Riches of the Mekong.”
In 2026, the ship will make 22 sailings, followed by 38 in 2027.
