Fresh off Avanti's announcement this summer that the FIT tour operator was introducing new culinary quests in South America, it has followed up with an announcement of more food and drink offerings in Europe.
Avanti Destinations has cooked up several new vacations and add-on experiences that travel agents can recommend to clients who are headed to Europe.
Two of the new foodie tours are complete, air-inclusive packages from Avanti Journeys.
European Classics for Foodies is a 10-day, nine-night trip that includes stops in London, Paris, and Rome, and the 13-day, 12-night Flavors of Southern Europe visits Rome, Athens, Barcelona, and Madrid.
There are also new customizable land-only itineraries from Avanti. These include Sips & Samples of Southern England, Taste of the Wachau Valley (Austria), and Gastronomic Wonders of France & Spain.
The tour operator has also added more than 30 new experiences that can be included in any custom itinerary.
In Krakow and Warsaw, clients can experience a pierogi-making class and a vodka tour. In Paris, guests can learn to make macarons or bake baguettes. There is also a new Nordic food walking tour in Stockholm and a risotto cooking class on Lake Lugano.
Guests can also dine with a Parisian family or take a chocolate-making workshop in Paris or visit less-visited markets in Vienna, Paris, and Avignon.
Avanti is also catering to those with food restrictions with its new offerings.
Guests can take a gluten-free baking class in Paris and there is a vegetarian walking tour in Stockholm.
Right now, travel agents can earn an additional $100 bonus commission for each Avanti booking of at least $2,500 made before October 31, 2018, for travel taking place between October 1, 2018, and March 31, 2019.
