Contiki, whose target market is travelers aged 18-35, is increasing its roster of small-group Vietnam and Cambodia tours with immersive “Ride Vietnam” and “Ride Cambodia” journeys on Vespas, motorbikes, and Tuk Tuks.
The tours are scheduled to launch in November 2027.
“Young travelers are moving beyond the Instagram ‘greatest hits’ and looking for trips that connect and immerse them in destinations,” says Tom O’Hara, head of brand at Contiki.
“These new trips deliver exactly that – exploring Vietnam by Vespa and motorbike or Cambodia by Tuk Tuk – a small group of like-minded travelers can be sharing meals with locals, staying in family-run accommodation and discovering off-the-beaten-track towns and villages, all while being led by an experienced and knowledgeable Contiki crew,” he added.
Participants on the eight-day “Ride Cambodia” tours will explore the country exclusively by Tuk Tuk, traveling through dirt roads and rice fields, visiting off-the-beaten-path communities, Siem Reap temples, Phnom Penh and much more.
The six-day “Ride Vietnam” tour will use Vespas and motorbikes, while traversing through “some of the country’s most iconic landscapes and hidden backroads,” Contiki said.
Just some of the highlights include a night food tour through Hoi An via Vespa and a motorbike tour exploring Da Nang’s street food offerings.
The new tours will debut in tandem with Contiki’s “Vibes On Overdrive” campaign, which puts the spotlight on “six creators who experienced both itineraries firsthand, with content rolling out across influencer and Contiki channels,” the tour operator said.
“The content offers a first look at the journeys and will help travelers better understand what to expect before they book,” Contiki added.
