Eurobound, specializing in independent European travel, has designed three new winter packages to Europe, combining city visits and snow destinations.
Travelers can choose from Finnish Lapland and Estonia, Zurich and the Swiss Alps, and Vienna with the Austrian Alps. All packages feature deluxe accommodations, private transfers and private walking tours, plus a host of activities.
Finland and Estonia, 9-days, 8-nights
Horseback riding, a husky safari, and snowmobile adventure visiting a reindeer herd in Finnish Lapland are among adventures on Eurobound’s “Scandinavia Winter” independent tour to Finland and Tallinn, Estonia.
The nine-day, eight-night package features four nights at the Kakslauttanen resort in Finnish Lapland, including breakfast and dinner daily, with two nights in a glass igloo and two nights in a posh log cabin. Included activities are a half-day Husky Safari Tour, a visit to a reindeer herd via snowmobile, horseback riding, and a sleigh ride.
In addition to Lapland, the package includes two nights hotel each in Helsinki and Tallinn, Estonia on the Gulf of Finland, with a private walking tour of each city, plus airport transfers on arrivals and departures at each destination.
The per person prices start at $4,200. Air far from Helsinki to Ivalo is additional.
Switzerland Magical Moments, 10 days, 9 nights
A mountain snowshoe tour, moonlight sleigh ride, and a walk across Europe’s highest suspension bridge are highlights of Eurobound’s “Switzerland Magical Moments” independent tour. The 10-day, nine-night itinerary provides three nights each in Zurich, Interlaken, and Lucerne, first-class train travel through the Swiss Alps, private airport transfers, hotel accommodations with breakfast, and pre-arranged, independent mountain excursions.
Excursions include travel by cog rail and gondola to Jungfraujoch with its snow-capped views of the Aletsch Glacier, Mt. Titlis with its cliff walk suspension bridge, and Mt. Rigi and a horse-drawn carriage ride. In Interlaken an included evening sleigh ride through mountain forests culminates with a fondue and wine dinner in a typical restaurant.
Prices start at $3,850 per person, land only, based on double occupancy.
Romantic Austria, 10 days, 9 nights
Private tours of Austria’s classic sites, a gondola ride with views of one of Europe’s steepest ski runs and stays in luxury and deluxe accommodations await travelers on Eurobound’s 10-day, nine-night “Romantic Austria” package. The itinerary features three nights each in Vienna, Salzburg, and Innsbruck with breakfast, private airport transfers in Vienna and Innsbruck, and first-class train travel between cities.
Also included are private walking tours at each destination, a private Sound of Music tour in Salzburg and a private tour of Schonbrunn Castle. An included 48-hour Innsbruck Card provides access to the Nordkettenbahn gondola for world-class alpine views of some of Europe’s steepest ski runs, as well as entry to Bergisel Olympic Park.
Price begins at $4,925 per person, based on double occupancy.
