On April 3, 2026, Dr. Jane Goodall would have celebrated her
92nd birthday. In honor of the late scientist and conservationist, G
Adventures has officially announced her birthday as ‘Jane Goodall Day.’
As part of its renewed partnership with the Jane Goodall
Institute of Canada, G Adventures continues to offer immersive, wildlife-focused
experiences
across the globe, featuring 19 trips in 16 destinations, including Borneo,
the Galapagos Islands, Uganda, Botswana, Costa Rica, and Antarctica.
Each itinerary carries a legacy endorsement from Dr. Goodall.
A portion of every booking supports the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada,
helping to fund conservation efforts and community programs that protect
wildlife and improve livelihoods.
G Adventures founder Bruce Poon Tip said in a statement, “Jane
was a huge inspiration to me personally, a great friend and a Global Ambassador
for G Adventures. Our conversations over the years provided me with many
lessons, some of which I am sharing with our travelers today in memory of Jane.
Our last in-person meeting, just a few weeks before she passed, showed Jane
continuing to champion and advocate for the change we need to see in the world.”
He added, “Our new 10-year commitment to the Jane Goodall
Institute of Canada is one very close to my heart and I’m proud to continue
supporting the great work that Jane dedicated her life to.”
Through their friendship, Bruce highlights three enduring
lessons from Dr. Goodall:
- We all have a choice in the impact we make.
- Understanding creates compassion—and action.
- Hope is a powerful choice for change.
