Wild Women Expeditions is luring women to adventurous destinations this winter with a variety of journeys that are sure to keep Old Man Winter at bay.
Starting in November and running through March of 2019, women can take advantage of active adventures to Nepal, Thailand, Mexico, Argentina and more.
The Nepal Trek to Everest Base Camp journey is first up, taking intrepid female travelers for a 16-day trek to and from the Everest Base Camp starting on November 18, 2018.
The $3,295 price tag includes airport transfers; ground transportation; three to four nights in Kathmandu; 12-13 nights in Nepalese mountain lodges; all meals with hot drinks and bottled water on the trek; an experienced English-speaking female guide; a city tour guide; and more.
In December, the Thailand Elephant Treks & Temples tour is an 11-day cultural immersion in the Chiang Mai region. The journey includes trekking, cycling, and rafting as well as a chance to feed, bathe and walk with elephants.
Rates start at $2,695 and include accommodation (including a homestay); most meals; services of an English-speaking, certified female guide and assistant guides; drinking water and snacks; activity-related equipment; and more.
The journey takes place December 21, 2018; January 4, 2019; and February 12, 2019.
Female travelers can also explore Baja on the Kayak and Whale adventure. The nine-day journey gives guests the chance to swim with whale sharks, manta rays, sea lions with pups and whales with calves and includes canyon camping and kayaking around Espiritu Santo Island.
Rates start at $2,295 per person for whale watching, swimming with sea lions and whale sharks; four days of sea kayaking; Santa Rita Canyon Hot Springs camping and hiking; eight nights of shared accommodations in hotels and tents on the beach; and more.
Dates start in January of 2019 with additional departures in February and March.
Starting in February, women can embark on a journey to India with Wild Women Expeditions. The Jungles and Jewels Adventure is a mindful, 11-day journey to explore the country with Dimple Bhati, who is connected with the Project Tiger organization.
Rates start at $4,495 per person and includes luxury accommodations, national parks fees, guides, transportation and more.
Women looking to make this the winter they see the Northern Lights can take advantage of Wild Women Expeditions' Icelandic Aurora Adventure. The first of three trips takes place on February 23, 2018, and is an eight-day trip that coincides with prime aurora viewing.
Rates start at $5,495 and include local female guides, seven nights shared accommodations, ground transportation, equipment and more.
Warm up this winter with a trip to the jungle in Costa Rica. The Pura Vida Adventure Retreat will take place March 1-8, 2019. Guests will enjoy guided hiking and nature walks, daily yoga, kayaking, snorkeling in Ballena Marine National Park and more. Rates start at $2,795.
