Perillo Tours is introducing a slate of new off-season 2027 escorted Italy tours, centered on culture, events and seasonal celebrations.
As an example, the nine-day “Masquerade & Masterpieces: An Italian Carnevale Adventure” tour, which departs Feb. 2, 2027, kicks off with four nights in Venice, followed by three nights in Forte dei Marmi, including a full-day guided tour of Florence.
“The tour culminates at the Viareggio Carnevale, where travelers can marvel at the enormous, artistic floats, lively parades, music, and elaborate costumes that make this seaside celebration truly unique,” Perillo Tours said.
Other off-season offerings include the eight-day “Thanksgiving Tour,” which features six nights in Tuscany with day trips to Venice, Pisa and San Gimignano. The tour departs on Nov. 22, 2027.
Among other things, “guests will enjoy a hands-on cooking class with a Tuscan sommelier and a special Italian-style Thanksgiving dinner at Villa Olmi, a countryside estate located in Bagno o Ripoli, less than three miles from the center of Florence,” Perillo said.
The nine-day “Holiday Charms of Italy” tour puts the spotlight on Rome, Gubbio and Florence during the Christmas season, and will include a visit to the Piazza Navona Christmas market and Arezzo’s Tyrolean-style market.
The tour includes a visit to Gubbio’s mountain Christmas tree, which made the Guinness World Records as the largest Christmas tree display in the world. The tour departs on Dec. 11, 2027.
“Off-season travel to Italy isn’t a compromise, it’s a different way to experience the country and, in many ways, a more authentic and memorable one,” said Steve Perillo, third-generation owner of Perillo Tours.
“With smaller crowds, these winter tours allow travelers to experience Italy through the lens of a local, with access to events and experiences you cannot replicate any other time of year,” he added.
