Perillo Tours is boosting its already-formidable roster of Italy tours with two new nine-day itineraries, “Lakes, Wine, & Romance” and “Splendors of Italy,” both of which will debut in 2027.
“These new tours were designed to give guests a taste of places most classic Italy tours never reach,” said Perillo Tours Owner Steve Perillo. “Italy’s famous cities will always have their place, but these itineraries are about showing travelers another side of the country”
“They’re perfect for guests who have already experienced the iconic highlights and are looking to discover the authentic Italy found in charming towns, local traditions, and regions that many visitors simply pass by,” he added.
The “Lakes, Wine, & Romance” itinerary will explore Northern Italy, with three nights in Lake Como and four nights in Verona, plus day trips to Bellagio, Switzerland’s Lugano, Lake Maggiore and Amarone, Ripasso and Valpolicella Classico.
“The trip also includes visits to the medieval lakeside villages of Bardolino and Sirmione, as well as a guided sightseeing tour of Verona's Roman Arena and Juliet's Balcony,” the tour operator said
The “Splendors of Southern Italy” itinerary, which begins in Naples, where travelers will participate in a pizza-making class and visit the ruins of Pompeii, explores the Campania, Basilicata and Puglia regions.
The itinerary also takes in the World Heritage site, Matera, and “then settles into Puglia for three nights in Lecce, the region's sun-drenched Baroque jewel, with days spent exploring the storybook trulli village of Alberobello, the Adriatic coastline of Otranto and a traditional olive oil and wine farm,” Perillo Tours said.
Rates start at $4,590 per person for the new tours, with departure dates from March to October.
Perillo’s 2027 entire collection of Italy itineraries is available for booking with rates starting at $3,095 per person.
