Perillo Tours is tapping into the women-only travel market with two new 2027 nine-day tours , “Women in Sorrento” and “Women in Umbria,” which will accommodate no more than 20 guests led by female tour directors.
“Over the last few years, we’ve heard from more and more women who want to travel on their own or with friends in a group created just for them,” said Perillo Tours Owner Steve Perillo.
“These tours have been created with these travelers in mind, and we’re excited to see where it takes us.”
‘Women in Sorrento’
Using a “cliffside retreat overlooking the Gulf of Naples” as its vantage point, the “Women in Sorrento” tour will embark on excursions to Positano, Capri, Amalfi and Pompeii, the tour operator said.
The tour, which departs on April 23, will also feature a full day at family-run farms “with olive oil, mozzarella-making and limoncello demonstrations and tastings, plus an exclusive lemon grove experience hosted by a local family that has cultivated Amalfi’s famed ‘Sfusato Amalfitano’ lemons for generations,” Perillo Tours said.
‘Women in Umbria’
The “Women in Umbria” tour, which departs on Sept. 10, will couple five nights in Gubbio, a meticulously preserved medieval hill town in Umbria, with two nights in Florence.
“Guests will venture into the Umbrian countryside for a guided truffle hunt with expert hunters and their trained dogs, take part in a private cooking class in the Tuscan countryside and enjoy intimate wine and olive oil tastings at small, family-run producers,” the tour operator said.
It will also include visits to Assisi, Perugia, Deruta and Spello, accompanied by Perillo Tours’ long-term partners.
Rates start at $5,750 per person, double, for the “Women in Sorrento” tour and $5,295 per person, double, for the “Women in Umbria” tour.
