For many, it's the romantic cities filled with artwork and culinary delicacies that attract, while still others are drawn by the landscapes or the continent's connection to history. History buffs find Europe fascinating, as you can hardly go anywhere without running into a remnant from either World War I or II.
2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and is the perfect time to pay your respects at the continent's historical battlefields.
To commemorate this anniversary, Insight Vacations is now offering three trips that are sure to enthrall and educate all travelers.
The tours take in locales in both Belgium and France. In addition to seeing the sights, travelers learn the stories of the courageous American, Canadian and European soldiers who fought and died there.

The trio of tours are as follows:
World War I Battlefields
This fascinating four-day excursion traverses both Belgium and Northern France, beginning in Belgium's somber Flanders Fields and Ypres Salient battlefields-home to some of the most intense World War I battles-before moving on to a host of moving memorials and cemeteries.
French Heritage
This 23-day jaunt is essentially a "best of France" which includes a side-stop in Normandy. You start in Paris before setting off for some of the country's other famous gastronomic and wine regions. There are also stops at alpine resorts like Chamonix and the fabulous French Riviera.
It's in Normandy where history-lovers will be in heaven, as the tour offers the chance to visit both Gold and Juno beaches-key D-Day spots where the Allies landed in 1944. There is also a guided tour through the bunkers and cemeteries of Pointe du Hoc.
