Effectively Marketing to Your Clients Through Email

How do you create an effective email? It’s a question on everybody’s mind lately. With email marketing still being king (after all, every account on the internet still ties back to an email address), it’s more important than ever to send relevant content to your customers’ inboxes.
Your customers likely get hundreds of emails a day, which means that in order to stand out, you'll need to get creative. With Agent Studio’s Marketing Center, it’s easy to segment your lists and create relevant emails. Have you created a new email lately? We’ve got a few ideas that you can send out as early as today!
First, pick a segment you would like to work with. Based on the data you’ve collected on your customers, what do you know about them? If it’s simply their email, try sending out a themed email (cruise or luxury travel) to them. Do you know their birthday? You can automatically set up an email to go out to your customers on that day!
To create segments within your contact list, log into your Marketing Center and go to the "Contacts" section on the left side panel. Under "Mailing Lists," click "Add New List." Create a segment based on the information you have. Aside from birthdays, other examples could be anniversaries, interests or type of travel. Segmenting is essential to email marketing as personalization in emails garners more engagement than those without.
Once you've got a segment, add contacts to that list by selecting the "add" icon to the right of the contact. You're now ready to create a brand new targeted email! This example can be used for any type of email as you have all the control. Plus, our builder makes it easy to get creative and easily add your own content.
You’ll want to start with a theme, go to “Create New” under the “Campaign” section on the left side panel. Select the template that best fits your purpose (these templates are designed to be easily edited). Once you’ve done that, you’ll automatically move to the “Create Email” screen.
Now it's time to pick a subject line! The subject line is the email's first impression and will determine whether the email gets opened or not. Inspire your customers to find out more with a catchy subject line. Just make sure to stay away from words that get spam boxed easily.
This is where you can have some fun. You can easily incorporate the content Agent Studio provides by clicking “Add New Content” and selecting “Deals,” “Destinations” or “News,” depending on what suits your email. All of this content will automatically link back to your website. Add your own images and copy by selecting “Custom.” Try to keep copy short and sweet while using "you" and "yours" to speak to your customers directly.
Click “Next” in the upper right corner to select which segment of your contact list you would like to send it to. Then click “Next” again to schedule your email. It’s a good idea to send yourself a test before scheduling to make sure everything looks good. That’s it! Just schedule and you’re done!
The Marketing Center tracks your email’s performance. You can view how well your email does by visiting the “Analytics” section on the left panel at any time after the email is sent. This will help you gauge how effective your message is.
Let your creativity soar and strategize different ways to target and engage your customers. When you send personalized messages, it lets your customers know you care about them. There are loads of different emails you can create with the Marketing Center by following the simple few steps above.
The Marketing Center also features some Automated Marketing tools where you'll just need to simply upload your contact list. From there, the Marketing Center will automatically send the “Week in Travel” email (a weekly roundup of the latest travel news, promotions and spotlight destinations), as well as tactical offers from the suppliers you sell. Keep giving your customers a reason to come back!
