Popular Airfare App Hopper Raises Millions

That simple app that uses complex algorithms to save you a bundle on airfare just pulled in a gigantic haul in funding.
Hopper, for the moment, is rolling in it.
According to VentureBeat, the travel app that predicts the best moment to pull the trigger and buy that plane ticket raised its funding to $38 million after its recent round garnered $16 million thanks to the likes of BDC Capital IT Venture Fund, Omers Ventures, Accomplice and Brightspark Ventures.

According to the report, the money will be spent in what seems to be measured growth for a company responsible for a wildly popular app.
What this means for travel consumers is yet to be seen. We have been happy to spotlight Hopper before, simply because its intuitive interface and valuable information make it a crucial tool for anyone flirting with the idea of a future trip.
