Do you ever wish you could travel to a deserted island with no one around to disturb the peace and quiet?

You can.

There are actually quite a few uninhabited islands that you can explore freely. However, the lack of fresh water and other essentials means you won't be able to stay on these places for long. Take a look at these vacant islands that would fit perfectly on your 2018 travel list:

Isla de Lobos

Located only a 15-minute ferry ride from Fuerteventura, Isla de Lobos used to be home to a large number of monk seals, though fishermen have almost completely wiped them out. However, there are currently more than 100 different species of plants and birds living on the island, making it a National Park.

Sisarga

Made up of three islands and included in a series of islands called the Sisargas Islands, all are uninhabited and located off the coast of Costa da Morte. A private boat is the only way to get to these beautiful islets. You'll take the boat to Sisarga Grande's southern coast and follow a short trail that will lead to incredible views.

Dragonera

Dragonera, along with Es Pantaleu and La Mitjana, make up Sa Dragonera National Park. Although this island is open to visitors, the only people who stay are scientists, rangers and volunteers. There are a few spots in Mallorca that offer a ferry ride over to this unique spot, and it only takes about 20 minutes. Travelers are welcome to hike around the island on their own during their visit.

This is simply a glimpse at some of the many unique, deserted islands available for visitors to travel to.
