Mia Voss is wine drinking blogger who usually enjoys a solo trip. This past trip, though, she wanted something new and decided to book a 13-day tour with Collette.

Contrary to what she initially expected, she ended up loving this type of travel. In fact, her exact words were, "It. Was. Amazing."

The benefits of traveling on a guided tour are endless. The trips are planned out to include all the must-see places in the destination. This means you won't be stuck wasting time planning out your day while you're there.

Not to worry, though. This does not mean your day is fully planned out for you.

There is plenty of time to take the sites in on your own, hit an excursion you didn't get to with the group or just enjoy a cup of coffee in a local café. You can have the best of both worlds.

One of the biggest perks to an organized tour is having a knowledgeable guide and driver. The local guide will fill you in on the history and interesting facts of the destination, while the driver will get you where you need to be each day. Having a local contact really aids in making it a trip of a lifetime.
