A True Eco-Friendly Experience

In most cases, “eco-friendly” and “all-inclusive resort” aren’t used in the same sentence.
However, Hotel Xcaret is just that—a unique eco-friendly resort located in Riviera Maya.
This hotel has achieved the EarthCheck certification, proving it was built in a responsible and sustainable way. The original landscape and newly built hotel have intertwined their existence.
First Impression
From the minute you set foot in the lobby, you’ll see why this hotel has an EarthCheck certification.
The setting has a relaxed vibe with earth tones and natural light. It sets the stage for what’s in store throughout the rest of the resort.
Recycled Nature
Scattered through the resort are trees and rocks that were once part of the landscape now reused for something else. Some of the original trees were made into art décor that lines the winding walkways. Other trees became chairs to relax in.
The rocks on the property were used to make the pillars on parts of the buildings, and the reception desks are even made out of rock.

Natural Beach
You won’t find a manicured beach with lines of lounge chairs at this resort. There are sandy areas near various water inlets throughout the property with chairs to sit in, but the beachfront area was left completely untouched.
A walk along it will allow you to feel as if you’re on a remote island. Guests are welcome to take their towels and lay directly on the sand if they choose to pick an area on the beach to camp out in for the day.
Bonus Points
Not only is this resort eco-friendly, but it has various parks to tour that are eco-friendly as well. A stay at Hotel Xcaret includes access to surrounding parks such as Xcaret, Xplor, Xenses and more.
Guests can hop on a complimentary shuttle each morning and pick and choose the different parks to explore. Visit jaguars in the jungle, swim through rivers located in caves and snorkel all in one week!
