AmaWaterways is pleased with the number of awards they received this year. They are delighted to have the things they strive to be the best at recognized by their travel partners-great service, excellent food and quality of ships.
The year wasn't smooth sailing start to finish though. Low water on a few of the rivers made for a rough fall. AmaWaterways employees on and off the ship had to spring into action adjusting itineraries and helping guests stay up-to-date and happy.
The California wildfires also caused one of the cruise line's offices to evacuate. Employees had to work from satellite offices during this time to continue assisting guests and travel partners. A lot of behind the scenes work took place in order to keep everything running smoothly.
Overall, Kristin Karst, Executive Vice President and Co-Owner, was happy to hear such positive feedback from various guests during her seven weeks onboard in 2018. As always, she will be looking for ways to make the guest experience even better in the year ahead.
