The Mediterranean Diet at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

Healthy eating doesn’t need to be sacrificed just because you’re on vacation.
At The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, guests can indulge in the Mediterranean diet for clean eating.
The Mediterranean diet can be found at Estiatorio Milos at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Chef Costas Spiliadis ensures fresh fish arrives from Portugal and Greece on time and in the proper way before it ever reaches your plate.
These amazing meals are carefully crafted, but don’t let the word diet fool you. Taste and flavor are not lost in these dishes.
The Mediterranean diet refers to dining traditions of Greece, Italy and other parts of southern Europe. The meals are lighter and healthier compared to the rich sauces and large meats found in other European dishes.
It focuses on heart-healthy and nutrient-rich foods like vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, potatoes, whole grains, fish and other types of seafood.
Organic food is the way to go. You won’t find any processed foods in the Mediterranean diet. Olive oil is also heavily featured in Mediterranean dishes. This is preferred over butter or margarine.
“Rather than adding creams and sauces, you can add a dash of sea salt and olive. Just like that, you’re having the best tomato salad you’ve ever had in your life,” said General Manager Zhaklin Lappas.
Las Vegas can be seen as a place to feast like kings and queens, with buffets and high-calorie foods and treats seemingly everywhere.
However, at Estiatorio Milos, guests can feel good knowing they’re dining healthy thanks to the Mediterranean diet.
